毬蘭屬常綠蔓狀灌木，原產東亞至東南亞的亞熱帶至熱帶氣候區。枝條伸長後，會逐漸呈蔓藤狀四散生長。對生的葉片薄革質，長10~15㎝，聚繖花序自葉腋伸出，每花序花朵約20~60朵，種名multiflora即是多花的意思。花朵造型奇特，與其他毬蘭差異較大，花瓣向後翻，副花冠聚合成尖錐形。花瓣顏色乳黃，亦有深黃與綠色的個體。開花期全年，每一花序能夠開一次以上的花。

An evergreen vine-like shrub in the genus Hoya, native to subtropical to tropical zones from East Asia to Southeast Asia. The elongated branches grow and gradually creep like vines. Leaves opposite, thin and leathery, 10~15 cm long. Cymes extended from the leaf axils, often 20-60 flowers borne on each inflorescence, the species epithet “multiflora” means many-flowered. The plant is valued for its peculiar-shaped flowers which is quite different from other Hoya plants. Petals reflexed and coronas converging into a pointed cone. The petals are usually creamy yellow, but there are also dark yellow and green individuals. Flowering throughout the year, and each inflorescence can flower more than once.

半日照且潮濕環境，陽光曝曬容易造成葉燒，且伴隨高溫乾燥使花朵提早凋謝。不耐旱，介質表面乾燥即需澆水。施肥每季一次，冬季生長緩慢可不必施肥。不耐低溫，冬季寒流時可移至室內或避風處。繁殖使用扦插法。

Preferably partial-sun and humid environment. Intense sun exposure can easily cause sunburn on the leaves and heat and drought will make the flowers wither early. Not drought-tolerant, water once the medium appears dry. Fertilize once a season, and stop during the stagnant growth period in winter. Not cold hardy, it’s advisable to move the plant indoors or shelter it from the wind during the cold winter. Propagated from cuttings.

造型奇特的花是觀賞重點，但因為花序多下垂開放，需放置較高位置，可使用壁掛盆或吊盆種植以便欣賞花朵。開花過的花序柄能持續多次開花，因此不可剪除。
