鈕扣蕨屬多年生草本，原產於紐西蘭。植株低矮。葉簇生，最大的羽狀葉上可以有超過30對長圓形的深綠色革質羽片；羽片光滑富光澤，形狀有如成排的紐扣；羽軸有褐色鱗毛。

A perennial herb in the genus Pellaea, native to New Zealand. The plant is low. Fronds clustered, the largest pinnate fronds can produce more than 30 pairs of dark green leathery pinnae; pinnae smooth and shiny, shaped like rows of buttons; brown scales occurring on the pinnae axis.

於半日照環境下生長良好，喜歡通風環境。使用疏鬆透氣性佳的酸性介質，可觀察介質乾才澆水。採用孢子或分株法繁殖。

It grows well in a partial-sun and airy condition. Use a loose and acidic medium with good air permeability; water only when the medium appears dry. Propagated from spores or ramets.

植株精緻可愛，適合吊盆或盆栽欣賞，可以作為組合盆栽材料。耐乾旱，有別於一般喜潮濕的蕨類植物，適合新手入門栽培。

This exquisite and lovely plant is suitably grown in hanging baskets and containers, or as material of mixed planters. Different from other ferns, this fern can tolerate drought and is perfect for beginners.
