鳳尾蕨屬多年生草本，是廣佈於亞洲、大洋洲的箭葉鳳尾蕨園藝品種。植株叢生，根狀莖粗短。羽狀複葉，對生羽片3~6對，羽片長倒卵形至闊披針形，葉面中央沿主脈兩側有一條縱向銀白斑。葉分營養葉及生殖葉二型，營養葉羽片較寬，生殖葉羽片細窄。孢子囊群位於羽片或小羽片邊緣。

A perennial herb in the genus Pteris. This is a cultivar of sword brake fern which is widely distributed in Asia and Oceania. Growing in clumps, with stout and short rhizomes. Fronds pinnately compound, 3-6 pairs of opposite pinnae, long obovate to broad-lanceolate, with a longitudinal silver-white marking along the midrib. The fronds are divided into two types: vegetative fronds and fertile fronds; vegetative pinnae wider while fertile ones slender. Sori located on the edge of pinnae or small pinnae.

喜溫暖濕潤和半陰環境，宜在肥沃、排水良好的介質中生長。夏季高溫時要注意通風良好，並防止強光直射，以免葉片乾枯焦黃。以分株繁殖。

The plant likes warm, humid and semi-shade environments, and thrives in fertile and well-drained medium. The fronds are sensitive to direct sun and heat, the planting location has to be well-ventilated and sheltered from direct sunlight in hot summer to prevent the leaves from yellowing and drying. Propagated from ramets.

可作庭園地被植物、小品盆栽、組合盆栽。葉可當插花材料。

It can be used as a garden groundcover, planted in a small pot and mixed planter. The fronds are common flower arrangement materials.
