蔓綠絨屬多年生草本或草質藤本，原產巴西。莖有明顯葉痕，或有氣生根。葉片密集叢生，植株可長成高1.5m、寬2m。互生橢圓形葉，羽狀深裂，葉長40cm，葉寬30cm。佛燄苞深紅色。

A perennial herb or vine in the genus Philodendron, native to Brazil. The stems have obvious leaf scars, occasionally with aerial roots. Leaves densely tufted; plant size 1.5 m high and 2 m wide. Leaves alternate, elliptical, pinnately deep-lobed, leaf length 40 cm, leaf width 30 cm. Spathe crimson.

全日照或半日照環境。在高溫多濕生長良好，適宜在富含腐植質且排水良好的砂質壤土中生長。葉片大型易受颱風吹折，栽培位置最好避風。以播種分株或扦插繁殖。

It grows in full-sun or partial-sun conditions, thrives in heat and high humidity and prefers richly-humic and well-drained sandy loam. The leaves are large and prone to the damage of typhoon; it’s advised to plant in a leeward location. Propagated by seeds, ramets or cuttings.

生長強健，葉片緻密，可以種植於庭院作為灌叢欣賞，或配植於花台、石組間襯景。盆栽用於室內綠化。葉片作為切花材料。

With robust growth and dense foliage, the plant is suitable for the use as a shrub in gardens, or a filler planted in flower beds and between stones to add interest. The potted ones can add greening to the house. The leaves are cut flowers materials.
