竹蕉屬常綠灌木，是原產非洲南部香龍血樹的矮性園藝品種。株高可達1m以上，莖直立，少分枝。葉廣披針形，葉色濃綠，葉緣波浪狀，葉尖略反卷，常叢生於頂端。圓錐花序，白色花小型，有香味。

An evergreen shrub in the genus Dracaena. This is a dwarf cultivar bred from Dracaena fragrans which is native to southern Africa. The plant can reach more than 1 m in height. Stem erect, less branched. Leaves broadly lanceolate, dark green, margin undulate, apex slightly recurved, and often clustered at the top. Panicles, white flowers small and fragrant.

生長強健，全日照至半日照環境適宜。室內無日照處，僅靠人工照明亦能生存。喜高溫高濕，耐旱，土全乾後再徹底澆水。以扦插法繁殖。
