別名：黛粉葉屬多年生草本，本屬分佈中南美洲熱帶地區，本種是園藝品種。莖叢生型，葉密生莖頂，橢圓形至長橢圓形葉，葉片中央部位大面積乳白色至白綠色斑，葉緣綠色。佛焰苞披針形，肉穗花序較佛焰苞略短，雄花位於肉穗花序之上半部，雌花位於肉穗花序下半部，雌雄花之間有不稔性雄花。
半日照溫暖環境，不耐寒，戶外種植要選遮蔭、避風位置。介質乾就須澆水以免下位葉黃化。土壤以通氣良好之腐植土或肥沃砂質壤土為佳。以扦插或分株繁殖。
Dumb Cane is a cultivar. Stems clumped; leaves densely terminal, oval to long oval, marked with dark green at the edges and faded to white in the center. Spathe lanceolate, longer than spikes, male flower located in the upper half of the spadix, female one in the lower half, and infertile male flower in between.
葉色明亮，可作室內盆景或於遮蔭處庭院作做地被植物。盆栽應用廣泛，辦公室或家庭內明亮處都適宜擺放。
It grows in partial-sun and warm environment, not cold hardy, advised to plant in shades and leeward locations. Water when the medium is dry to avoid the lower leaves yellowing. It does best in fertile, breathable and richly-humic sandy loam. Propagated by cuttings or ramets.
