欖仁屬落葉喬木，原產馬達加斯加，是葉片有色斑的園藝品種。主幹直挺高聳，樹高可超過20m，樹皮灰色平滑。側枝輪生，水平開展。倒卵形葉長3~6cm，寬1~2cm，互生或聚生於小枝的枝端，有粉紅或乳白斑紋。穗狀花序自葉腋伸出，花淺綠色，花徑約0.2~0.4cm。核果橄欖形，長約1.5cm。開花期夏季，結果期夏秋季。

A deciduous tree in the genus Terminalia, native to Madagascar. This is a cultivar with variegated foliage. Trunk tall and upright, over 20 m in height, bark gray and smooth. Lateral branches whorled and spreading horizontally. Leaves obovate, 3-6 cm long and 1-2 cm wide, alternate or clustered on the branch tips, with pink or milky white markings. Spikes protruding from the leaf axils, flowers pale green, and about 0.2-0.4 cm across. Drupe olive-shaped, about 1.5 cm long. Flowering in summer, and fruiting from summer and autumn.

適合全日照溫暖環境，土壤需深厚且排水良好。冬季落葉期可修剪過度長伸的水平枝條。不宜進行主幹頂端的截短修剪。繁殖採用播種法與嫁接法。

It suitably grows in a full-sun and warm environment and prefers deep and well-drained soils. Prune over-elongated horizontal branches only in deciduous winter and do not perform heading cut. Propagated by seeds and grafting.

適合開闊的空間種植；經過修剪縮小冠幅的植株，也適用於較小的空間。常成列種植於建築物旁或作為行道樹使用。

The plant is suitably planted in open fields or in small spaces after the crown is reduced by trimming; also often planted around buildings or used as street trees.
