柑橘屬常綠喬木，是原產於中國的甜橙在廣東發展的園藝品種。在臺灣是柑橘類果樹中種植面積最廣、產量最多的種類。樹冠圓形，枝葉緊密，有刺或無刺。橢圓形葉，翼葉線形。腋生聚繖狀花序，花白色，香氣濃郁。黃色果實圓形，多有明顯圓形印環。

An evergreen tree in the genus Citrus. This is a cultivar of sweet oranges native to China and developed in Guangdong province. In Taiwan, it’s the most widely planted species and has the highest yield among citrus varieties. Crown round and packed, thorny or thornless. Leaves oval, petiole wings linear. Cymes axillary, flowers white and richly fragrant. Fruits yellow and round, often with conspicuous circular rings.

栽培地點宜日照充足處，土壤須有良好排水性、含豐富腐植質。結果期可套袋或噴灑碳酸鈣於果實以避免曬傷。以種子、扦插或嫁接繁殖。

The trees thrive in a sunny, humid environment with well-drained and richly-humic soils. During the fruiting period, cover the fruit with a bag or spray calcium carbonate on the fruits to prevent sunburn. Propagated by seeds, cuttings or grafting.

可作庭園景樹、種子小森林小品盆栽、果樹盆栽。果實有豐富的膳食纖維及維生素A、B、C、磷、蘋果酸等，可做果汁。

It can be used as a garden landscape tree, small seedling potted plant, and fruit tree bonsai. The fruit is rich in dietary fiber and vitamins A, B, C, phosphorus, malic acid, etc. and can be used to make juice.
