什麼，這也是蘇鐵？與常見的蘇鐵相較，最大的差異在於美葉蘇鐵的小葉摸起來寬厚硬挺，上面有著細長的紋路。雌雄異株，能夠整年開花。雄花序比較瘦小像玉米心，雌花序比較粗壯像沾了佐料的烤玉米，上面的鱗片成熟脫落後會露出紅色種子。播種後冒出的小葉，像幸運草造型，商人美其名為「幸運樹」。

What, this is also cycad? Compared with the common cycads, the biggest difference is that the leaflets of Mexican Cycad are thick and stiff with slender lines on it. It’s dioecious, and flowers throughout the year. The male inflorescence is thinner like corncob, while the female inflorescence is thicker and looks like a roasted corn covered with seasoning. Red seeds are revealed when the scales mature and fall off. The emerging young leaflets are shaped like clover, hence merchants nickname it "Lucky Tree."

An evergreen shrub in the genus Zamia, native to Mexico. The trunk is very low to subterranean. Saplings develop trunks in the shape of bulbous roots while grown-up tree grow cylindrical trunks. Pinnate compound leaves are borne clustered at the top of the stalk, with 10–12 pairs ovate-elliptic leaflets, in opposite or alternate arrangement, with fine teeth on the leaf margin. Dioecious, terminal flowers, the male strobilus is conical, while female ones are ovoid. Oval seeds are red. Flowering and fruiting in summer.
