蕨樹屬常綠喬木，原產亞洲東南、南部至東非的熱帶氣候區。樹高可達30m，樹皮灰白色。互生羽狀複葉，每一羽狀複葉有8~12對小葉；小葉為互生或幾近對生，長橢圓形，全緣淺波浪狀，葉面平滑並富有光澤。圓錐花序腋生，雌雄異花，花白色。橢圓形核果，成熟時深褐色，內含一粒種子。

An evergreen tree in the genus Filicium, native to the tropical regions of Southeast Asia, South Asia, and East Africa. Tree height up to 30m, bark gray. Leaves alternate, pinnately compound, with 8-12 pairs of leaflets; leaflet alternate or nearly opposite, long oval, margin entire with shallow wave, surface smooth and glossy. Panicles axillary, monoecious, flowers white. Oval drupe, dark brown when mature, containing a seed.

全日照環境，幼株稍耐陰。高溫生長期須充足供水，春至秋季每季施用一次長效性肥料。栽培環境應通風，以預防介殼蟲危害。以種子或扦插繁殖，播種需用新鮮種子發芽率才高。

The plant normally grows in full sun environments; saplings are slightly shade-tolerant. Water the plant regularly during the high-temperature growth period, and long-active fertilizers are applied once a season from spring to autumn. The planting site should be ventilated to prevent scale insect damage. Use seeds or cuttings to propagate, advised to use fresh seeds for higher germination rate.

樹姿優美，可作庭園景觀樹、綠籬、行道樹。幼株可盆栽，種子苗適合小品盆栽觀賞。

Valued for the beautiful tree posture, it can be used as garden ornament trees, hedges, and street trees. The saplings can be planted as bonsai, and the seedlings can be grown in small pots for enjoyment.
