仙丹花屬的常綠灌木，園藝雜交種，育種親本不詳，茂宜系列品種有枝條健壯硬實，橢圓形厚革質葉片對生的的特徵。聚繖花序頂生，花冠4裂，花色淺橘，但花色常因成熟度與光線照射程度不同，而有深淺變化。開花夏至秋季。

An evergreen shrub in the genus Ixora, a hybrid cultivar with unknown breeding parents. It features the common characteristics of Maui series - strong and solid branches and elliptical thick leathery foliage. Terminal cymes, corolla 4-lobed, flowers are light orange, or with various coloration depending on degree of maturity and sun exposure. Flowering from summer to autumn.

全日照溫暖環境，高溫生長旺盛。排水良好的中性至微酸性壤土種植。介質乾才澆水。春至秋季每季施用一次長效性綜合肥料。隨時可修剪樹冠內過密枝條，本系統生長較緩慢，矮化修剪幅度不宜過大。繁殖使用扦插法。

Growing well in full-sun warm environment, thriving in high-temperature climates. Favor well-drained, neutral to slightly acidic loam. Water only when medium soil appears dry. Apply long-active compound fertilizers once every season from spring to autumn. Prune over-dense branches in the crown when necessary. Performing dwarf pruning in a modest way owing to the slow growth. Propagated by cuttings.

葉片緻密的矮性品種群，可以使用盆徑7寸以上的盆器栽培，適合居家陽台種植欣賞。庭院使用多以多株叢植為灌叢或列植為分隔用的矮籬。因為生長強健，較矮仙丹耐寒，是市場上主流品種群。

A dwarf variety with dense foliage can be cultivated in pots over 7 inches diameter and display at house terraces. They can be also planted in cluster as shrubs or in rows as boundary hedgerows in courtyards. It’s more vigorous and hardier than Ixora williamsii on so now is a mainstream species in the market.
