素馨屬常綠或落葉木質藤本，是原產印度的茉莉的重瓣園藝品種。枝條柔軟下垂，若任其伸長則會纏繞攀附。對生卵形至卵狀披針形葉。花開於枝端，花瓣兩層。開花夏至秋季。

An evergreen or deciduous woody vine in the genus Jasminum, a cultivar with double-layered petals, bred from jasmine originated in India. Its soft and dropping branches may become crossing and sprawling if left unattended. The leaves are opposite and ovate to ovate-lanceolate. Flowers bloom on the end of branches with two-layered petals; flowering from summer to autumn.
