風鈴草屬宿根性多年生草本，原產於巴爾幹半島，現已入侵英國、紐西蘭等地。莖匍匐生長於地面或坡地。互生三角狀橢圓形至圓形葉，長2.5~4㎝，葉緣粗鋸齒。圓錐花序頂生；淺藍色鐘形花冠，星形裂片5枚，花徑約2.5cm。開花期春至夏季。

A rhizomatous perennial herb in the genus Campanula, native to the Balkan Peninsula and now has invaded the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Stems creeping on the ground or slopes. Leaves alternate, triangular-shaped elliptic to rounded, 2.5 to 4 mm long, and margin coarsely serrated. Panicles terminal; pale blue campanulate corolla, 5 stellate lobes, flower diameter about 2.5cm. Flowering from spring to summer.

適合全日照或半日照冷涼環境，介質需排水良好。生長開花期可每週施用一次液體開花肥。臺灣夏季高溫生長不良，通常作為一年生植物使用。播種、分株或扦插繁殖。

It grows well in full sun or partial sun and cold environment; preferably well-drained medium. Apply liquid flowering fertilizer once a week during the anthesis. The plant can’t tolerate the summer heat in Taiwan, therefore it’s usually grown as an annual plant. Propagated by seeds, ramets or cuttings.

花朵繁密，可做盆花及吊盆植物使用。溫帶地區常種植於石牆縫或岩石花園中。葉子可食用。

Valued for the dense flowers, they are commonly used as potted flowering plants and hanging plants. In temperate regions, they are often planted in crevice of stone walls or in rock gardens. The leaves are edible.
