原產南歐地中海地區和南非。常綠灌木，多分枝。針狀葉常4枚輪生，除綠色外，葉色還有金黃色、淡黃、玫紅、銀灰、棕色等。花色豐富，有白、紅、淡粉、深粉、紫色等。
