景天屬多年生草本，臺灣特有種。全株光滑。莖多分枝。肉質線形或長橢圓狀披針形葉互生，緊密排列呈覆瓦狀。頂生聚繖花序，花黃色，苞片如葉狀，開花期夏季。蓇葖果膜質，長橢圓形。種子長橢圓形，有不明顯的突尖。

A perennial herb in the genus Sedum, endemic to Taiwan. The whole plant smooth, stems much branched. Leaves fleshy, linear or oblong lanceolate, alternate, closely arranged in shape of shingles. Cymes terminal, flowers yellow, bracts leaf-like, flowering in summer. Fruits are follicles, membranous and oblong. Seeds oblong, with inconspicuous apex.

喜冷涼向陽地，原生於全島中高海拔約 2500~3900 m裸露岩屑地或道路兩旁，常出現在西向和南向坡面，十分耐旱。以種子或扦插繁殖。

The plant prefers cold and sun-facing environment, naturally growing on the scree slopes or road sides in alpine regions about 2500-3900 m high, often on the west- and south-facing slopes, extremely drought-tolerant. Propagated by seeds or cuttings.

小品盆或花壇地被植物用。全草可入藥，葉之黏液可治灼傷、昆蟲叮咬。

Suitable for the use as small potted plants or groundcover on flower beds. The whole plant can be used as medicine, and the mucilage of the leaves can cure burns and insect bites.
